EASTER

We love Easter time!  We have so much to celebrate!  We welcome the opportunity to celebrate the life and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ, the end of winter, and spring with all the new life that appears.  Of course we get excited about spending time with the grand parents and hunting for Easter eggs too.

The boys love spending time with their cousin Taisley!

All the boys got hair cuts to be ready for Easter Sunday the next day.

TEXAS SIZED PARTY

Jodi's sister Stephanie and brother-in-law John are moving to Texas.  John obtained a promotion at his job.  We decided to have a party to send them off in style.  The theme for the meal was Tex-Mex and BBQ. Lots of great food and dessert!

The first phase of tile and base board is complete.

The Demolition Progress

Here are some pictures of how the project is coming together.  We thought it was coming along nicely.  The walls are patched and painted and the floor is already for new tile.

I guess Matt has heard us talking about our face lift project and thought he would also do his own bit of face lifting.  What do you think of his improved looks.

He got a hold of Jodi's eye pencil.

Valentine's Day

Jodi is a great cook and does so much with so little!  This year Jodi made heart shaped dairy free pizza (to accommodate Will's dairy allergy).  It was great!  The boys loved it.  Jodi decorated the table and house with red, pink, and white decorations.  The boys also wanted to decorate, so the found several toys that were red and added those to the Valentine decor.  Here is what our celebration looked like.

DEMOLITION BEGINS

Inside projects are in full swing...ha ha ha.   When we moved into our home, we kept the downstairs half bathroom intact while we remodeled the rest of the house.  Blair is now getting around to giving the last bathroom a face lift.  Here are some pics of the boys starting the project.  Blair is excited to show his boys how to wreck and repair.

We thought we had a leak coming from one of the drain pipes.  That is why we removed some sheet rock.

Now we are removing the old and badly cracked tile.

Hammer and chisel weren't enough to get the last of the tile off the cement.

The air hammer was needed to finish off the last of the old tile.

Editors note:

So, we have been extremely neglectful when it comes to our family blog.  In fact, we didn't post once in 2014...oops.  These next few posts will be of events that happened in 2014 in hopes that we can document some of the great events that happened this past year.  One thing is for sure, time waits for know one and kids grow up faster than we realize.

January 2014

For Jodi, January is one of the dullest months of the year.  She isn't much for playing in the snow and doesn't like the cold, but Blair on the other hand loves the winter months.  Here is a picture of one of his trips ice fishing to Strawberry Reservoir the second weekend in January.

Merry Merry!!

Ha!  I love the looks on their faces.  Matt:  "I am so tired, but I think I'm supposed to be excited."  Will:  "I know what's about to happen.  Presents baby!"

 That hair!
 Stockings.  Wow!

Woo hoo!  Remote controlled trucks!  Yes!

 Blair's new Camelback cover.

 Yep. That's me.
 Batman glasses.

 Cars sun glasses.

 Stylin' bros.

 Monsters Inc.
Matt got a flashlight in his stocking.  Of course, the first thing he does with it is look in everyone's throat.  You can tell what we've been using them for around here.  Did I mention Will's tonsils are coming out two days after Christmas?

Moose sweater, or as he calls it: "Moosh!"
Socks!  Grandpa Ross would be proud.
Will gave me dish towels and washcloths.

 An ipod?  Unexpected.  Thanks Blair.
No better way to read new books than with your sunglasses on.
 Socks!
What a great Christmas.  We have been extra blessed this year.  We've had a semi-rough year with trying to figure out Will's health issues and such, but we have been so blessed to have everything we do.  Here's to another great year!
