So, we finally found the perfect house for us and closed at the end of April. It was a LONG month of tearing things out and building things in, painting, tiling, carpeting, and we are still working on the little things. But, we love our new place. Here are a bunch of pics of the process.
There were a wide array of color schemes going on. Red walls...
Purple walls...
Orangeish-tan walls. Very interesting!
Before of the kitchen. It had laminate wood floors on top of linoleum.
Gray carpet.
Wo! Yellow wall meets orangeish-tan wall. Yikes!
Office.
We had to build a wall between the office and laundry.
Green master bedroom.
Ryan going to town.
Blair put in some VERY long hours.
Interesting way the previous owners made the kitchen sub floor try to be level with the formal living room floor: rolled up cardboard and duct tape. :)
Our overworked and underpaid tile guy: Blair's dad.
It seemed we had a hundred volunteers to help paint. Above is my cousin 's friend and below my cousin Tyler.
I never want to see a paint brush again! Baseboards were my nemesis!
Tile, done!
Our first morning in the new place. They like it!
A few days after moving in, Will's friends came to visit. They loved bouncing on the trampoline.
