We got invited to go to Grandma and Grandpa Newbold's house for family night last week. Grandma told us the story of Nephi breaking his bow and having faith to ask the Lord how to make a new one. Will got to act out the story and of course be the star: Nephi. He thought it was pretty cool. He had conveniently worn his camo pajamas, perfect for playing Nephi in the wilderness!

Will's First Fishing Trip
Blair had the rare opportunity of coming home early this past Thursday (about 9:30 a.m.). After all the errands were finished and lunch was served, Will and Blair took off to "check ice conditions" at a few local lakes. Blair had organized an ice fishing activity on the 25th for the ward elders quorum. Blair needed to see if the ice was still safe after these few days of abnormally warm February weather. They did some "checking" and discovered that the ice was still safe to venture out on.
This is Will after being on the Ice for 10 minutes. He was so excited to hold the ice fishing pole...so excited that he almost dropped it into the hole.
Will now has a good grip on the pole and is jigging like a pro.
Look at that! A fish! And they had only been on the ice 15 minutes. Will was just as fascinated with the ice scoop as he was with the fishing pole. Blair is convinced that Will is good luck and has his heart set on taking Will every time he goes fishing. This truly was a great day for Will and Blair!

Groundhogs, Valentines and Birthdays
All who know me well, know that I love all holidays. Most especially I love Groundhog's Day. However, this year since my brother Dave and his fam live clear across the country, I didn't feel like doing a big Groundhog's Day bash. But, the Groundhog still deserves some recognition. So, instead we celebrated the Groundhog, Valentine's Day and John's (my brother-in-law) birthday. It turned out to be a most creative holiday.
Here is the table, all decorated with hearts and Groundhogs. No, the tablecloth does not fit the table. This did not adversely affect the festivities. It just looked a little ghetto.
Ha! Sorry about the red eyes. They really are cute little babies.

On your left is Yoda. To the right is Grandpa Jax with his chest high pants. Adorable.
