Bear Lake Reunion

The Marshall Family Bear Lake reunion was a blast this year, as always. It was so nice to take a week long vacation and talk and laugh and catch up with the family.

Steve, Corrine and Marshall swinging.

Lisa playing football with Will.

Will was totally sacked after a morning walk. Too many late nights.

Will's first present from Grandma: a teddy bear. He calls him "Harry."

Sand was cemented to Will's face by a layer of stickyness

from all the candy he'd eaten at the beach.

Sport that tube top Ross. You know it.

Sport that head dress Blair.

Will loved the pool.

Four wheeler ride!!

Will was obsessed with ping pong.

Reading on the beach with Grandma Jo.

Sand castle time!

Will and Corrine cooling off.

Tongues out!

Beach readers.

Rattlesnake ready to strike in the middle of the road. Yikes!

Ping Pong match. Mom vs. Daughter. Daughter rises triumphant.

Oh no. Squirt gun time.

Aw.

Gotcha grandma!

Soccer with Grandpa Ross.

Family night fun. Blair and others trying to get an OREO

from their foreheads into their mouths.

Shake that booty! Here they are trying to get a ping pong ball to shake out of their boxes.

It's a boy!

Here is our newest little addition. We found out today that it's a boy! Will should be thrilled that he gets a little brother, right? Well, during the ultrasound we kept saying, "Look Will! That's your brother!" to which he kept replying, "I wanna go outside." Hmm. Maybe it will take a while for the news to sink in. :) Anyway, we are so excited to have another little guy. Blair especially is looking forward to future fishing trips and Father's and Son's outings.

Little profile.

Big feet...Newbold trademark.

Ah...Summer

Summer finally arrived and Will is thrilled. I think he loves pretty much everything about it. He loves barbeques, sprinklers, fireworks, you name it. Here are some pics of his summertime highlights thus far.

This really has nothing to do with summer, he just loves

climbing in the laundry basket, whether there are

clothes in there or not. Weird.

This is Blair lighting the first firework on the 4th of July. It seems like fireworks used to be so cool when I was little. I could hardly wait to be "wow"ed by them. Somehow, home lit fireworks seemed pretty lame. However, Will was totally enthralled. He would watch one and say, "incredible" and then "nother one?" as soon as it burned out.

Blair, master firework technician.

Will's first sparkler.

He really wanted to touch it. So, we only did one.

Here's a little video of him running through the sprinklers. He always wants to turn them on whenever we walk outside. One morning, I was weeding the flowers and he was still in his jammies, but I couldn't stand the begging, so he got soaked in his p.j.'s. He had a great time doing it though!

Two Years Old

For about a week, we've been telling Will it's going to be his birthday. Everytime we bring it up, he always questioningly says, "Pizza?" To him, birthdays mean pizza. So, we had pizza...and cake. About the time we started opening presents though, suddenly he realized what birthdays REALLY are about. Presents. It was like sensory overload for him. He went from one thing to the other, trying to figure out how he could play with everything at once. It was fun...and funny! We had a great time and I'm pretty sure he did too.

The morning started off early, with Will licking the beaters from his birthday cake. I couldn't say no, it was his birthday!

The Lightening McQueen cake. He is obsessed with CARS and

loves Lightening McQueen.

His main request: Pizza.

Getting ready to open his first present.

He kept saying, "Oooh! Oh wow!"

"I love birthdays!"

Shooting baskets in his new hoop.

"Bubbles? Yeah!"

Finally, the cake.

He insisted on just eating the frosting.

Now for the videos. Enjoy!

Scripture Study

Reading scriptures with Will has been a challenge...to say the least. The minute I start to read, he starts yelling "Mommy! Mommy!" I think he gets jealous that I'm not giving him my absolute attention. Anyway, latetly I started having him repeat a verse at breakfast. He actually kind of enjoys it, as long as he can do it between bites of cereal! What a kid.
