It's Christmas!

At the Newbold house this year, Christmas was excellent! Will could hardly contain himself. Santa, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles were all very generous. Here are a few pictures and videos to enjoy.

We let Will open one present on Christmas Eve, his jammies from Grandma Marcella. He LOVED the guitars.

Christmas morning...before opening gifts.

Matt all dressed up in his Sunday suspenders. So cute.

Will opened two or three presents before church.

After we got home was when he went wild opening all the gifts.

Showing the baby a toy he opened for him.

Matthew wasn't really into Christmas...

Will: "Open this one daddy! It's cashews!"

and sweet helmet.

Will's favorite gift: a mini laptop computer. He carried it around all day and would randomly open it and say, "I got email!"

Gift Exchange Night

Last night we had a mini-Christmas with Lisa, Steph and John since Lisa is going to Oklahoma to be with my parents for Christmas. We had fun and even managed to Skype with my brother and sister-in-law who live in NY.

Cool guitar.
"That one's for me too?" Will LOVES presents.

So does Lisa.

...and Stephanie.

Grandma's visit

Here's a few pictures of Grandma and all her Utah grandkids. Wish Dave and Shauna's little Ross could have been here!

Winds from the East...

So, last week we had some severe winds in our area. They ended up doing some serious damage. Our huge, I mean massive, pine tree was completely uprooted. I couldn't believe it. There were downed trees and power lines everywhere. We spent the entire day without power and some people spent several days without it. Here are some of the pictures. Our pine tree.

This is the tree on the side of our appartment building. They ended up chopping the whole thing down because it was so badly damaged anyway.

On Sunday we attended sacrament meeting for a 1/2 hour, then were instructed by our bishop to go help the ward take care of all the debris before another storm hit that evening. About 50 ward members spent the entire day cleaning and hauling stuff. Many others (like me) spent the day making soup and cookies for the workers.

Will loved having the power out becuase it meant eating peanut butter and jelly and playing with flashlights all day. Here is a little video I took of him eating his lunch and singing songs. He always sings "Pants on the ground" the song sung by a disqualified American Idol contestant. He heard it as a ring tone on Blair's phone and he loves to sing it. Weird.

Here Comes Christmas

Sometimes I fear that Will has an aversion to Santa Claus. These are some pics from our ward party. He eventually warmed up, but he was a little nervous at first.

When asked what he wanted for Christmas, Will replied, "A candy cane." Just exactly the thing Santa had on hand.

He kind of thinks the pieces are like action figures...
