Welcome to Washington!!

We finally did it! Blair has been talking going to visit his grandparents in Washington for over a year and we finally made the trip. And what a trip! It's about a 10 1/2 hour drive each way. Whew. Worth it though. We had such a good time. The first thing to greet us as we entered Grandma and Grandpa's house:

A moose-and giant one at that. Will LOVED all the animals in the living room.
Here's the Caribou...

...and the other moose.

"Country living is great, but I gotta have my comforts from home."

Will had to bring his favorite movie, Cars.

Will and Grandma. Pals for life.

Will, Blair, Grandma and Grandpa.

We went fishing at this amazingly beautiful lake. I have never

smelled such fresh air and seen such a gorgeous sight.

Grandpa getting ready to launch his new fishing boat.

Will, less than enthused about having to wear three layers plus a life jacket.

Oh wow! He got one! Will loved watching Dad and Grandpa unhook the trout.

Nice one Grandpa!

Blair, head boat mechanic. Well, good thing he had a pocket knife.

It came in handy when the fishing line got caught in the motor. :)

Dinner at Texas Road House with Uncle Dave, Aunt Becky, Makenna,

Payden, and Brayden. (sorry if I mispelled your names!)

Will's new buddy, cousin Brayden.

All of the mules and horses during feeding time. This was also Will's favorite activity. He'd hold the alfalfa cubes in his hand and let them gobble. He loved it.

Part of Grandpa's fields.

On Sunday, we visited Ucle Larin and Aunt Elaine. They have great kids. Stetson, Shalynn, Brianne, Colton and Dallin.

Will after a long day of farm business. Yeah right!

Peek-a-boo!

Saying good-bye.

Will had to say good-bye to Tex, the dog.

A very tired boy. That's okay, it's a long way back!

Will learned the names of all the stuffed animals in Grandpa's house. He loved pointing to them and telling us what they were every morning.

The Ironman...pretty much

Blair did the "Spash and Sprint" Triathalon today and loved it. He is tired and a bit sore, but said he wants to do it again! It was really fun watching him. This first picture should be the last picture, but blogger doesn't let me cut and paste anymore. (Side note: It is so frustrating to not be able to move pictures around. Do any of you have a solution?) Anyway, it is the end of the rest when Will wanted to flex his muscles with Daddy.

Getting ready. He felt official with his tag on....

but even more hard core with his number markered on his skin.

Cutie. He kept saying, "Go Bwlair, go Bwlair!"

Swimming was the first event. Here is everyone standing in line.

After swimming they biked about 12 miles and then ran a 5K.

Here is Blair coming to the finish line.

Sprinting to the finish.

"Good job, Dad."

Some swimming videos.

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

A couple of weeks ago, Grandma Jo came to visit us! Will had so much fun with her. Then, Grandpa Ross came to visit and spent ALL DAY with Will on Friday so I could go to Women's Conference with my mom and sisters. He LOVED Grandpa and especially all the tasty treats he got to eat with him! Sorry I didn't get any pics with Grandpa! Next time!

Will loved jumping in bed with Grandma Jo every morning and

reading his favorite new book that Grandma brought him.

Grandma came to the zoo with us while she was here.

Petting a stone lion.

Watching them feed the baby elephant.

Ah. I love the zoo.

Easter

Will LOVED Easter. These pics are actually in reverse order from how they actually took place, but you get the idea. He loved looking for plastic eggs and when he'd collected them all, he would open them one and a time and say, "Oooh! Candy!" and proceed to eat the candy inside them. Each time he opened another egg he seemed surprised and delighted to find more candy. It was cute.

This is a little egg hunt we had in front of the apartment with our neighbor and friend, Emily

We visited Grandma and Grandpa Newbold and Will got to color some real eggs.

Easter Morning (well, Saturday morning)
