Joining the Blogging Ranks

The latest news is that Jodi has finally given in and set up a blog like the rest of the techno-savvy universe. (Of course Blair had to give her a tutorial, since she is technologically challenged. He of course took two minutes to teach himself and then walked her through the process like a blogging expert.) Many thanks are due to JoLynn, Jodi's mom, for persistently (like every day) asking for pictures of the baby and the vacations, etc., which in turn inspired the creation of the Newbold blog.

First Family Vacation

This summer we haven't had the chance to have a real vacation since at the beginning of summer I was enormous and didn't want to do anything, and then in the middle I was recovering from having the baby and unable to do anything. So, Blair and I decided it was high time for a late summer vacation. Last weekend we stayed the night at a little bed and breakfast and in Providence and then the next two days we spent at Bear Lake. I think the highlight of the trip was when we all went fishing. It was about 45 degrees, so Will and I stayed in the car and watched Blair scout out the best spot on this random little lake. To his utter excitement, he discovered a well dented and abandoned canoe on the shore. Of course, he hopped in and drifted out into the middle to catch the fish of his dreams. I just watched from the car, laughing and praying he wouldn't sink! No fish, but no worries! He caught one later that day in the famous Randolf spot.

Blessing Day

We decided to bless Will three weeks after he was born (July 19th) since my parents were in town from Ohio. It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful blessing.

The Newest Newbold

Here are some of the latest pictures of our little Will. He is so fun to have around!

Blair's mom wanted all the boys to match in our Newbold family picture. Unfortunately, we couldn't find matching clothes in Will's size. So, Grandma sewed him some jeans and altered a shirt for him. He looked very distinguished!

He is a sleepy head....wonder where he gets it?!!

Here we are on our one day trip to Bear Lake for the family reunion. Will slept on the beach the entire time.

Will also slept through his first fishing trip. We went up to Trial Lake in the Uintahs.

He did wake up for a few minutes to get a diaper change.

Will's first bath. You can see his face is impassive, as if he's thinking:"I'm not impressed."
